"Overall it was fine, but I did feel…"
Overall it was fine, but I did feel like the signs could be a bit clearer. I had to stop and double-check where I was going a couple of times. Did anyone else have the same issue?

"I’ll admit, I kind of assumed…"
I’ll admit, I kind of assumed it would just be a quick, ordinary stop, but the staff were so friendly right away that it totally changed the mood. They were warm, helpful, and made our day.

"Nice Zoo, Pricey Lunch"
I had a good time at the zoo overall. The animals looked well cared for, and I liked little things like the clean paths and the signs being easy to read. I also noticed there were plenty of shady spots, which was nice. The only thing that threw me off was lunch. The prices felt a bit high for what you get, especially for basic things like a sandwich and a drink. Still a nice visit, but I’d probably pack snacks next time.

"Fun visit, but definitely crowded"
We went on a weekend and yeah... it was packed, especially around the penguins and the food areas. The lines weren’t terrible though, like they moved better than I expected, so it didn’t feel too painful. A few of the paths got kind of crowded and slow, but we still managed to see everything we wanted to. I think next time I’d try to go earlier in the day, or maybe just aim for a weekday. Overall, it was a fun visit — just go in knowing there will probably be a lot of people.

"At least the bathrooms were easy to find"
With how annoying some places can be when you need a restroom, I was relieved this wasn’t one of them. There were plenty of bathrooms around, easy to spot, and I didn’t have to wander in circles or ask three different people. No issues there, thankfully.

"Fun for the kids"
The kids had a really good time and seemed to enjoy it a lot. The only downside was that the lines were kinda long, but overall it was still a fun experience...

"Shuttle made our zoo day easier"
We went to the Maryland Zoo with the kids and a bunch of bags, so the shuttle helped a lot. I think we only waited around 10 minutes, maybe not even that long... The little train was cute too, and it was nice to give our feet a break for a bit. Staff were friendly and made things easy. The only thing was the pickup signs could be clearer because at first we were kind of like, wait, where do we go... But overall it was smooth and made the day way less stressful.

"Fun, behind-the-scenes visit"
We did the behind-the-scenes tour at the Maryland Zoo, had a really good time. The staff took us around to see the penguin area, and a few of the animal care spaces, and they were super nice about answering all our random questions. It felt relaxed, not rushed, which I really appreciated. My favorite part was getting to see how much care goes into the animals’ daily routines, behind the scenes. I’d definitely go again.

"Easy ticket purchase, just a little slow"
I bought my Maryland Zoo tickets online and it was actually simple. Checkout was quick, and the QR codes showed up right away. The only small issue was that the page loaded a little slow on my phone, but it still worked fine and actually saved us time at the gate.

"Easy Parking Made the Trip Better"
Took the kids on Saturday, and parking was actually easy. We found a spot close by, so we didn’t have to walk far, and leaving later wasn’t a hassle either. Because of that, the whole visit felt a lot less stressful

"Family membership has been worth it"
We ended up getting the family membership and we’ve already used it a lot, so I feel like it basically paid for itself, even though I haven’t really done the math. Getting in has been easy, and the staff at the gate usually seem to know exactly what to do. My kids like going even if it’s just for a quick visit, which makes it feel less like a big planned outing every time. Parking can be annoying, especially on busy days, but I guess that’s kind of expected when lots of people are there. Overall, I’m still really glad we got it.

"Fun for the kids, but the food lines were frustrating"
The kids had a good time overall, so I’ll give credit for that, but the food lines were long and made the experience more stressful than it needed to be. We spent way too much time waiting instead of enjoying the day. I’d hope the place would consider some kind of compensation or discount for the inconvenience, because it definitely took away from the visit.

"Really fun family day with a couple small drawbacks"
We had a really nice day at the Maryland Zoo with our family. From our experience, the animals seemed well cared for, and we especially loved seeing the penguins and elephants. The staff members we spoke with were friendly and helpful, which made the visit feel even more enjoyable.
The only things that kept it from being a full 5 stars were that a few areas were a little confusing to get around, and the food prices were on the high side. Even with that, we had a great time overall and would definitely come back again.

There were lots of animals out today, which made the visit really fun. I mostly found myself paying attention to the ones I like best, but everywhere I looked there seemed to be something moving around.

I went with my kids i don’t see how anyone could say the animals aren’t cared for. They looked healthy and calm, and their spaces were clean. The staff answered our questions nicely and didn’t act bothered at all. It really felt like they genuinely care about the animals here...

"Easy Online Tickets and a Fun Day"
I bought our tickets on marylandzoo the price felt fair. Picking the day was simple, and you can see the total before you pay, which I really appreciated, no weird surprise fees at the end. For what we paid, we spent several hours there, and the kids were happy the whole time. Parking was easy too. I’d definitely buy online again.

"Nice little stop, even if I’m still loyal to my usual shop"
We stopped by the gift shop before heading out it was a nice way to end the visit. I picked up a stuffed penguin and a magnet, and while the prices were a bit higher than I’d like, I can’t say I was too surprised. The staff was really friendly and checkout was fast, which I appreciated. I’ll admit I usually swear by our regular zoo gift shop for souvenirs, so I was kind of comparing the two the whole time, but this place did a solid job. I just wish they had more kids’ shirts in stock. Overall, a good visit...

"Easy site to use, at least from my visit"
I had a good experience using The Maryland Zoo. I was able to find tickets, hours, and general info without clicking around forever, and the pages loaded just fine. The wording was clear, and it worked well on my phone too. Based on this one visit, it seems like they’ve done a solid job keeping the site simple and easy to use

"Mostly Safe, Just a Bit Distracted"
I felt safe overall, which was the main thing I cared about. There were a couple moments where the staff seemed a little distracted, though, not in a bad or rude way, more like they had a lot going on. I was still okay with the experience, but I did notice it here and there
